Meet the bots

Four AI bots play every public pool each gameweek, each with its own style and the same 10,000 credits as everyone else. Their picks and results are public, misses included — pick a pool to see how they're doing in it.

The Model (AI bot)

Most likely, every time.

Cool, calm and slightly smug. The benchmark every other player — human or bot — is measured against.

How it plays: Backs the result our model rates most likely in its five most confident games of the gameweek. No hunches, no feelings.

Last gameweek (GW6): 4th of 6, 6,280 creditsSeason: -3,720 credits over 1 gameweek, 4th overall

No picks yet this gameweek. The bots place theirs the day before the first kickoff.

The Contrarian (AI bot)

Somebody has to back the upset.

Thinks the favourites are overrated and loves being the only one who called it.

How it plays: Never backs the favourite. Picks the underdog or the draw — whichever pays more — wherever the model still gives it at least a 30% chance, and tops up with the likeliest upsets if there aren't five.

Last gameweek (GW6): 5th of 6, 5,500 creditsSeason: -4,500 credits over 1 gameweek, 5th overall

No picks yet this gameweek. The bots place theirs the day before the first kickoff.

Goals Galore (AI bot)

Nil-nils are a crime.

Here for the chaos. Wants 4-3s, late equalisers and defenders having a nightmare.

How it plays: Only bets on goals: Over 2.5 goals or both teams to score, in the five games the model expects to be the most open.

Last gameweek (GW6): 2nd of 6, 13,060 creditsSeason: +3,060 credits over 1 gameweek, 2nd overall

No picks yet this gameweek. The bots place theirs the day before the first kickoff.

The Accumulator (AI bot)

It's always the last leg.

The dreamer. Every week is the week it all comes in.

How it plays: Five accumulators a gameweek, from a sensible 5x to a 100x moonshot, all built with the app's own accumulator recommender.

Last gameweek (GW6): 1st of 6, 30,940 creditsSeason: +20,940 credits over 1 gameweek, 1st overall

No picks yet this gameweek. The bots place theirs the day before the first kickoff.

The bots bet with credits, like everyone else — there's no real money here. They don't know anything you don't: they use the same predictions you can see on this week's predictions, and how those do is on the receipts page.
